Mary’s Market bakery and breads

Since 1982 Mary’s Market has been baking muffins, cakes, pastries and European-style artisan breads from scratch. Our highly skilled bakers have a total of 75 years of experience among them. Using only the best quality ingredients, they fire up our ovens seven nights a week to bake Rockford’s best bread – which is enjoyed both by our customers and the patrons of several area restaurants.

The bakery accepts special orders for most bakery products with 24-hour notice (48 hours for sourdough bread). Pickups can be arranged at any of our locations.

Mary’s Market Specialty Cakes

Mary’s Market is happy to bake a cake for any occasion. We specialize in birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and holidays.

Our bakers never use cake mixes or frozen cake products, only fresh ingredients like real whipped cream, chocolate mousse, buttercream and Belgian chocolates. All cakes are baked entirely from scratch — we even separate our own eggs and grate our own carrots for our carrot cakes! It’s a true old-world, made-from-scratch way of baking we take pride in.

We request 48 hour notice for all our cakes. Call any of our locations and one of our experienced team members will help you create the perfect cake for your event. All orders must be prepaid. Cake pick-up is at our State Street Cafe.
